Register for P1 from July 5

PARENTS with children born between January 2, 1999 and January 1, 2000 can register them
for Primary 1 from July 5.

The registration will be done in phases over two months until Aug 30. During this period, all
primary schools will open from 8am to 11am and from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Children will be allocated places in the school according to the order of priority spelt out
in the Registration Scheme. The Education Ministry says some schools, which are turning single
session or have been given greater flexibility on the use of space, may be offering fewer
places for Primary 1. But it gives the assurance there will be sufficient places for all eligible
students, and that no child will be denied a place in school. More information is available at
